Training for elected official council members and employees of Ville de Montréal

In order to prevent integrity and rules violations, the BIG has been developing a series of training offered to employees and elected officials of Ville de Montréal.

The training provided is intended to allow City and para-municipal organizations’ stakeholders to identify, detect, and prevent schemes that affect the contractual processes’ integrity, and to understand the role of the Inspector General in this context.

The courses are aimed primarily at City managers and employees responsible for drafting tender documents, awarding contracts, and monitoring contracts’ performance.

They address in particular the following topics:

-          vulnerabilities to integrity breaches

-          signs and schemes of collusion

-          good practices in contractual matters

-          interpretation and enforcement of contractual requirements

By reducing the risk of integrity breaches, this training program contributes to restoring public trust in municipal institutions
